Ice skating with the Swiss Alps as our backdrop

Switzerland is impressing us more and more each day. It is absolutely beautiful.

After breakfast this morning we caught a train to Lautbrunnen, and then a cable car, and another small train up to Murren. The views were postcard perfect – absolutely breathtaking. Despite being surrounded by snow, it was remarkably warm, especially in the sun. We explored the town for awhile, hiked a little way up a mountain, attempted to make a snowman (it didn’t really work for us), and then spent the afternoon ice skating! It was so beautiful.

Needless to say we were quite exhausted by the time we got back to the hostel. We stopped by a ski rental place and have organised a beginners lesson and ski package for tomorrow at Grindlewald, which should be amazing. Definitely looking forward to it!
